So for a while now I've been proposing a fun way to use our old Lord of the Rings miniatures. It seems everyone has atleast some of these old minis lying around. But noone ever plays with them. So for a couple of months now I've had the idea to gather up all these minis from the people of the club and use them for playing games using the Hail Ceasar! rules.

Last night, at last I sat down and glued up two small armies, Moria Goblins and Gondor infantry. Shortly after we had our first games of Hail Sauron as it is affectionally called.

I played Goblins and Håkan played Gondor.

The first game was about 50 points of units (basically a bar fight). It ended with a draw.

The second game was at 100 points.

Gondor got twice the amount of units while the Goblins got 2 trolls and one more commander on the ground.

The game was bloody chaotic fun.

I havn't enjoyed miniature gaming this much in years.

Pics below.

The first battle.

Took only an hour, and would have been faster if we had been more secure on the rules.

Second Battle took a bit longer but not much, we looked up alot more rules during this battle.
